I joined the Grenada Blue Water Sailing School on a cruise and learn or mile builder. I was pleasantly surprised by Alex, the skipper / owner’s professionalism and knowledge. We was good at understanding the abilities of those on his boat and pushing them to the next level.
Saskatoon → Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas , US Virgin Islands
I flew into Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas , US Virgin Islands and stayed for 1 night at the The Island Beachcomber hotel, Its located only 2 minutes away from the airport making it a great overnight place for you next day travels. I took a fairy to Tortola BVI the next day. Approx. 10 minute cab ride to the fairy terminal from the hotel.

William Thorntan was a know pirate of the Caribbean. Today he owns an old barge converted into a bar. Its a great place to get really drunk. Its also a great place to have an accident such as our little episode when Chris almost drowned trying to swim to the boat in the dark then proceeded to break his nose when he collided with the cabin door.
The Baths are a unique set old large boulders. It remains a mystery even today how they were formed. They are a perfect labyrinth for pirates to loose themselves in while under attach from the British solders. A really great place to spend an afternoon and climb some rocks. There is a great restaurant there to have a sandwich and a beer.
Spanish Town has a very tricky marina and I have watched a few boats have an accident on their way to the birth. There is a great grocery store there for provisions.
Anegada is the farthest island in the BVI’s. It takes about 5 hours to get there. Its a great place for a Caribbean lobster. We rented some scooters and went to the opposite side of the island and had a few beers at a fantastic resort called The Anedaga Beach Club.

We sailed to Peter Island and spent the afternoon doing docking practice The Peter Island Resort and Spa. A really nice high end resort. Many thanks to the dock master for letting a bunch of bums like us practice all afternoon. Later in the afternoon we sailed back to Johst Soggy Dollar Bar.
Chris had rented the boat from James and Sailing Virgins for 1 nights to charter on our own now that we had passer put IYT bareboat skipper exam. Chris invited Jamie to be our guest for the adventure. We sailed into the sunset until we hit Willy t’s
Spent another night getting really drunk. Our guest got a little to drunk. We found him the next morning suffering with alcohol poisoning. Medical Emergency mode.

Norman Island → Soppers Hole
It was a sobering sail back to Soppers hole as our guests symptoms from alcohol poisoning continued to increase and our crew became concerned his body was failing him. Once we got to dock we proceeded to do a Mediterranean anchoring in a very tricky spot. We did OK however we got the line stuck in the prop. A small detail in light or having a dying guest on board. Jamie was immediately rushed to the hospital for a good old IV drip to bring him back to life.
