There is no better place to learn about yourself then on a sail boat !
It is challenging to live in small quarters with several other people. Even the small decisions you make will impact your crew. I have learned some very simple and basic skill aboard sailboats that have improved who I am as a person.
Sharing, putting others before yourself, working as a team, and having a positive attitude are just some of the basics that you will be faced with and will make the difference of positive and fun or negative and not fun. It sounds funny but there minimal tasks can be challenging at times.
It is easy to see the results of your actions aboard a sail boat. Being a good leader requires a desire to improve yourself, taking action, and learning from your mistakes. I cant think of a better place to improve yourself then onboard a sail boat.
To be a good sailor means you will be learning basic people skills, healthy eating, waist management, geography, biology, meteorology, mathematics, mechanics, in general research and discovery.
